( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 )
Neoseiulus asperisetatus Zannou, Moraes & Oliveira, 2006: 6 View in CoL .
Material examined. Kenya: 2 females , Mombasa, Mukaka Forest , Kwale, July 26, 2005 (El-Banhawy) .
Female: Dorsal shield reticulated, 340 long, 160 wide, with seven pairs of pores. Measurement of dorsal setae: j1 23, j3 25, j4, j5 14, j6 16, J2 18, J5 9, z2 16, z4 21, z5 12, Z1 21, Z4 30, Z5 60, s4 23, S2, S4, S5 25, r3 23, R1 21, JV5 35. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield reticulated, posterior margin slightly concave, distances between St I-St III 70 , St II-St II 58 , St IV on small platelets. Genital shield 80 wide. Ventri-anal shield pentagonal, reticulated, 115 long, 90 wide, with a pair of elliptical pre-anal pores close to each other, and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2. ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites, and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with six teeth, movable digit with three teeth. Spermatheca calyx shallow dome, 3 long, 10 wide. Macroseta, St IV 50 . Chaetotaxy: genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0 1.
Remarks. The female holotype was collected from Benin 22/11/1989 (G. J. de Moraes et al., 1989a) and the male paratype from Bas, Democratic Republic of Congo ( DRC), July 11, 1991 ( Zannou et al., 2006). Other collection records include Cameroon and Zambia ( Zannou et al., 2006). In the Kenyan specimens, the dorsal setae are shorter and the fixed digit of the chelicera has six teeth instead of eight.
