( Fig. 109 View FIGURE 109 )
Material examined. Holotype female, Kenya, Mt. Kenya, Mararia forest station, Central Province, altitude 2541 m, July 15, 2004 (El-Banhawy).
Female: Dorsal shield reticulated, 290 long, 160 wide, with five pairs of pores. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 16, j3 24, j4 14, j5 16, j618, J2 21, J5 6, z216, z3, z4 25, z5 16, Z4 37, Z5 50, s4 32, s6 37, S2 42, S4 43, r3, R1 22, JV5 40. Seta Z 5 serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j3. Sternal shield, distances between St I-St III 52 , St II-St II 60 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 80 wide. Ventri-anal shield striated, triangular, 115 long, 115 wide at level of ZV2, 73 at level of anus, with a pair of round pre-anal pores and four pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, JV3, ZV2). A pair of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with three teeth, movable digit with two teeth. Spermatheca calyx saccular, 14 long, 6 wide at midpoint, atrium small. Macrosetae sharp, Sge IV 21 , Sti IV 21 , St IV 42 . Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.
Remarks. This species is similar to T. atticus Swirski & Ragusa. The shape of the ventri-anal shield, the presence of the pre-anal pores and length of dorsal setae distiguish T. wawerus . The male is unknown.
