Material examined. Kenya, 2 females, Kakamega rain forest, altitude 1560 m, July 22, 2006 (El-Banhawy) .
Female: Dorsal shield reticulated, 265 long, 145 wide. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 15, j3 17, j4 12, j5 10, j6 14, J2 18, J5 8, z2 12, z3 13, z4 12, z5, z6 14, Z4 32, Z5 43, s4, s6 17, S2 18, S4 16, S5 13, r3 14, R111, JV5 17. Setae Z 4, Z5 serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield smooth, distances between St I-St III 52 , St II-St II 46 , St III , St IV free on integument. Genital shield 50 wide. Ventri-anal shield 110 long, 73 wide, posteriorly reticulated with a pair of round pre-anal pores and four pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, JV3, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites, and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with two teeth, movable digit with one tooth. Spermatheca calyx slender, 30 long, enlarged near atrium and slightly flared distally. Legs without macrosetae. Chaetotaxy: genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.
Remarks. The female holotype was collected from Ibadan, Nigeria ( Matthysse & Denmark, 1981). This species has also been collected from Benin, Cameroon, DRC, Ghana, Nigeria and Sierra Leone ( Moraes et al., 2008). The male is unknown.
