Material examined. Holotype female, Kenya, Lamu Island, Coast Province , July 19, 2005 (El-Banhawy) . Paratypes, 1 female, Pate Island , July 20, 2005 ; 1 female; Manda Island , Coast Province, July 21, 2005 , (El-Banhawy).

Female: Dorsal shield reticulated, 288 long, 135 wide. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1, j3 12, j4, j5 16, j6 21, J2 23, J5 8, z2 12, z3, z4, z5 18, Z4 28, Z5 37, s4 18, s6, S2 24, S4 30, S5 23, r3 16, R1 18, JV5 40. Dorsal setae serrated, lanceolate, and arising from tubercles, J5 smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield faintly scleortised, distances between St I-St III 70 , St II-St II 60 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 65 wide. Ventri-anal shield triangular, 104 long, 80 wide with a pair of tiny pre-anal pores close to each other and four pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, JV3, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with four teeth, movable digit with two teeth. Spermatheca calyx 12 long, saccular, slightly constricted before flared distally. Macrosetae short, stout, Sge II 16 ; 16; 16, Sti II 14 ; 14, Sge III 16 ; 16; 16, Sti III 12 ; 12, Sge IV 14 ; 14; 16; 16, Sti IV 16 ; 16; 18; 18, St IV 22 ; 25. Chaetotaxy: genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.

Remarks. This species is similar to T. grewiae Zannou, Moraes & Oliveira. The presence of JV3 (absent in T. grewiae ), the very small pre-anal pores, short and stout macrosetae differentiate these species. The male is unknown.
