Material examined. Kenya, 1 male, coffee farm , Kenya, Embu, Central province, altitude 1413 m, August 2005 (H. Mugo); 6 females, Embu, Central province, altitude 1400m, August 2005 (H. Mugo); 13 females, Kiamuguongo, Central province , altitude 1503m, July 12, 2004; 4 females, Marigat-Kabernet Rd, altitude 1791 m, March 2005 (El-Banhawy) .
Female: Dorsal shield smooth, 320 long, 210 wide, with four pairs of pores. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 36, j3 39, j4, j5 6, j6 12, J2 13, J5 6, z2 7, z4 23, z5 6, Z1, Z4 9, Z5 58, s4 75, S2 12, S4, S5 8, r3, R1 9, JV5 50. Seta Z 5 slightly serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of z2. Sternal shield smooth, distances between St I-St III 60 , St II-St II 60 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 90 wide. Ventri-anal shield 106 long, 70 wide, with a pair of crescentic pre-anal pores, and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with three small teeth clustered distally, movable digit without teeth. Spermatheca calyx tubular slightly flared distally, 23 long, minor duct prominent. Macrosetae, Sge II 30 , Sge III 32 , Sge IV 65 , Sti IV 48 , St IV 83 . Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.
Male: C haetotaxy of dorsal shield as in female. Ventri-anal shield 95 long, 140 wide, with anterior striations, a pair of crescentic pre-anal pores and three pairs of pre-anal setae. Spermatodactyl straight, shaft 23 long.
Remarks. The female holotype was collected from Kruger National Park, South Africa, September 21, 1963, M. K. Meyer ( Van der Merwe, 1968). This species has also been recorded from Kigali, Rwanda, December 10, 1989, J. S. Yaninek ( Moraes et al., 2001).
