Material examined. Kenya, 2 females, 1 male, Mt . Kenya, Chogorai Gate , altitude 2400 m, July 1987, 2004 (El- Banhawy) .
Female: Dorsal shield 356 long, 205 wide, with antero-lateral striations and five pairs of pores. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 28, j3 35, j4, j5 9, j6 11, J2 12, J5 7, z2, z4 7, z5, Z1 9, Z4 14, Z5 68, s4 39, S2 14, S4 12, S5 7, r3 14, R1 7, JV5 40. Seta Z 5 serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level between j1-j3. Sternal shield smooth, distances between St I-St III 58 , St II-St II 65 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 90 wide. Ventri-anal shield 97 long, 70 wide, with a pair of crescentic pre-anal pores, and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). A pair of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with nine teeth, movable digit with two teeth. Spermatheca calyx cup shaped, 9 long, 6 wide, atrium incorporated in calyx, 3 long. Macrosetae, Sge II 30 , Sge III 35 , Sti III 30 , Sge IV 62 , Sti IV 38 , St IV 78 . Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.
Male: Chaetotaxy of dorsal shield as in female. Ventri-anal shield 97 long, 132 wide, with antero-lateral striationa, a pair of pre-anal pores and three pairs of pre-anal setae. Spermatodactyl U-shaped, shaft 25 long.
Remarks. The female holotype and male paratype were collected from Lubero, D R C, May 9, 1955, E. W. Baker ( Pritchard & Baker, 1962). This species has also been recorded from Cameroon ( Moraes et al., 2006).
