Material examined. Holotype female, Kenya, Nyahururu (Thompson Falls), May 6, 2006 (El-Banhawy) . Paratypes, 7 females, same data as holotype .
Female: Dorsal shield smooth, 347 long, 188 wide, with seven pairs of pores. Measurements of dorsal setae, j1 29, j3 25, j4, j5, j6, J2 16, J5 5, z2, z4 37, z5 15, Z1 18, Z4 23, Z5 40, s4 44, S2, S4 24, S5 16, r3, R1 18, JV5 52. Setae Z 5, JV5 bulbous distally, remaining setae setiform. Peritrematal shield short, fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level between z2 and z4. Sternal shield with posterior lobe, distances between St I-St III 70 , St II- St II 64 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 76 wide. Ventri-anal shield 106 long, 60 wide, with a pair of elliptical pre-anal pores and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). A pair of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites, and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with ten teeth, movable digit with three teeth. Spermatheca calyx 58, anteriorly enlarged, 15 long, with posterior filament branched distally, 43 long, atrium nodular. Macrosetae setiform on Sge II 25 , bulbous on Sge III 35 , Sge IV 48 , Sti IV 30 , St IV 62 . Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/ 0, 1.
Remarks. This species is similar to U. macrosetosus , but differs from it in the short peritreme, the shorter J-J setae and the bulbous Z5 and JV5. The male is unknown.
