Material examined. Kenya, 4 females, Kwale, Mukaka Forest , July 18 2005 ; 2 females, Malindi, July 18, 2005 ; 3 females, 1 male, University of Nairobi, Marine Station , Moana, coast Province, July 26, 2005 ( El-Banhawy ) .
Female: Dorsal shield smooth, 320 long, 200 wide. Measurements of dorsal setae j1 28, j3 25, Z5 20, s4 10, JV5 30, remaining setae 7–10. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of z2. Sternal shield smooth, distances between St I-St III 58 , St II-St II 58 , St IV free on integument. Genital shield 80 wide. Ventri-anal shield 90 long, 58 wide, with a pair of crescentic pre-anal pores and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). A pair of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventrianal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with four small teeth clustered distally, movable digit with one tooth. Spermatheca calyx slender, 23 long ending in a bladder-like vesicle, minor duct distinct, atrium inconspicuous. Macrosetae blunt, Sge II 16 , Sge III 23 , Sge IV 35 , Sti IV 25 , St IV 37 . Chaetotaxy: genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 / 1, 2/0, 1.
Male: Chaetotaxy of dorsal shield as in female. Ventri-anal shield 92 long, 130 wide, with anterior striations, a pair of pre-anal pores and three pairs of pre-anal setae. Spermatodactyl straight, shaft 20 long.
Remarks. The female holotype and male paratype were collected from Leopoldville, DRC, April 10, 1955, E. W. Baker ( Pritchard & Baker, 1962). It has also been collected from Kenya, Mawabungu, February 26, 1985; Lunga lunga, Coast Province, June 28, 1989, Y. S. Yaninek ( Moraes et al., 2001).
