Lectotype (King-Jones in Willdenowia 29: 211. 1999): Hasselquist, Herb. Linn. No. 992.6 ( LINN; iso- UPS-HASSELQ 674, 676) .

Current name: Pluchea dioscoridis (L.) View in CoL DC. ( Asteraceae ).

Note: Although King-Jones (1999, and in Englera 23: 69. 2001) refers to the type specimen as "Herb. Linn. 992" (omitting the sheet number), her mention of Hasselquist makes it clear that she intends 992.6 rather than 992.7, and this choice is accepted here.
