Material examined. EAST TIMOR. East of Atauro Island , Outer reef, 08°13’48”S 125°36’56”E, coral reef slope, dead coral rubble, 16 m depth, 20 Sep 2012, coll. A. Murray & P.A. Hutchings, 3 specs. ( AM W.53030) GoogleMaps .

Habitat. Intertidal to sublittoral, in all types of hard substrates, including algae, biogenic calcareous concretions, rhizomes of Posidonia oceanica , between mussels, etc. ( San Martín 2003).

Distribution. Mediterranean Sea, Bermuda, Antilles, Cuba, Brazil, Venezuela, North of the Iberian Peninsula, the Canary Islands, Panamá ( Capa et al. 2001; San Martín & Bone 2001; San Martín 2003). First record for East Timor.
