Current name: Cortinarius violaceus (L.: Fr.) Gray ( Cortinariaceae).

Note: Brandrud (in Nordic J. Bot. 3: 587. 1983) selected Herb. Moser 74/208 (S) from Sweden (Halland) as a neotype, but original elements are in existence which, under Art. 9.11, preclude the selection of a neotype.
