Diagnosis. Wing ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 9 – 12 ) with 5 faint white spots, located below and on anterior and posterior sides of posterior crossvein and above anterior crossvein, the last spot located within cell R4+5 near tip of wing; crossveins indistinctly blackened. Cercus short and thick; surstylus slender with 3 setae at middle in posterior view; aedeagus thickened at base and sharply tapered at apex in lateral view ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 9 – 12 ).

Material studied. Holotype 3, China, Yunnan, Jinping, Dazhai, 22°50'N, 103°20'E, 17.V.2006, Junhua Zhang leg.

Description. Male. Body length 1.50–1.60 mm, wing length 1.50–1.60 mm.

Head black; frons subshiny black, with brownish yellow microtomentum. 1 strong inner vertical seta, outer vertical seta absent; 1 pair of strong ocellar setae; fronto-orbital seta absent. Face black with brownish yellow microtomentum, without conspicuous setae. Gena black with grayish white microtomentum, without conspicuous setae. Antennae brown, first flagellomere brown dorsally and yellow ventrally; arista shorthaired. Gena-to-eye ratio 0.19–0.21.

Thorax black; mesonotum, notopleuron, anepisternum, anepimeron and katepmeron brownish yellow microtomentose; katepisternum grayish white microtomentose; scutellum brownish yellow microtomentose with velvety black lateral margin. Acrostichal and dorsocentral setae small; 1 strong prescutellar seta; anterior notopleural seta absent and posterior notopleural seta large; humeral and posthumeral setae very small; anepisternum with 1 small seta at posterior margin; scutellum with 1 pair of strong apical setae and 1 pair of hair-like lateral setae. Wing ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 9 – 12 ) dark yellow, with 5 faint white spots, located below and on anterior and posterior sides of posterior crossvein and above anterior crossvein, the last spot located within cell R4+5 near tip of wing; crossveins indistinctly blackened. Costal vein ratio 0.95–1.00; M vein ratio 0.40–0.43. Base of fore coxa and entire mid and hind coxae black; apex of fore coxa, femora, tibiae and tarsomeres 1–4 yellow; tarsomere 5 brownish yellow.

Abdomen subshiny black. Male genitalia ( Figs. 10–12 View FIGURES 9 – 12 ). Cercus short and thick; surstylus slender with 3 setae at middle in posterior view; aedeagus thickened at base and sharply tapered at apex in lateral view ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 9 – 12 ).

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Remarks. This new species is distinctly different from H. pulchella Miyagi from the Oriental Region by the wing with five white spots and the yellow femora and tibiae. In H. pulchella , the wing has nine whit spots, and the legs are reddish brown ( Miyagi 1977).

Etymology. The specific epithet, quinquepunctata , refers to five spots of the wing.
