( Plate 2A, Figs. 69–75)

Length: Male 7.20 mm; female unknown.

External morphology. Slender species. General color dark brown to black with numerous yellow spots on veins of forewings, one large yellow spot subapically on costa; crown light to dark brown; eyes grey; face black ( Plate 2A). Head distinctly narrower than pronotum, anterior margin obtusely angled; crown narrow, width about ½ as wide as width of eyes, produced distally about ¼ entire length, lateral margins nearly parallel, slightly carinate; pronotum with median length slightly less than length of crown, surface smooth; mesonotum with median length about ½ times as long as pronotum; forewings typical; clypeus elongate, narrowed basally and apically; clypellus about 1/3 as long as clypeus, base narrow, nearly flat, lateral margins constricted medially.

Male genitalia. Pygofer narrow with 2 prominent caudal processes, caudodorsal process fairly long, robust, curved in apical half, caudoventral processs very long, lanceolate, exceeding apex of caudoventral process ( Fig. 69); right subgenital plate long, robust, outer lateral margin expanded near middle, setose ( Fig. 70); style nearly as long as aedeagus, narrow, distal 1/3 slightly expanded with longitudinal striations ( Figs. 71, 72); aedeagus long, tubular, shaft broadly curved with stout base abruptly recurved, apex armed with sharply pointed spine directed caudoventrally in lateral view, gonopore subapical ( Figs. 73, 74); connective small, Y-shaped, stem very short ( Fig. 75); dorsal connective with arms enclosing aedeagal shaft near middle, attached basally to lateral, basoventral lobes of aedeagus ( Figs. 73, 74).

Material examined. Holotype male. COLOMBIA: Nariño, R.N. La Planada Centro Administrativo, 1º15’ N.– 78º 15’W., 1700 m., Red 09/08/2004 – 12/08/2004, D. Arias leg., M. 4902 ( IAHC). GoogleMaps

Etymology. The name is descriptive for the long, lance-like caudoventral process on the pygofer.

Remarks. This species is nearest to C. recurvata , sp. nov. in general habitus and configuration of pygofer and style, and can be distinguished by the large subapical yellow spot on costa of forewings, by the robust, sharply recurved base of the aedeagus and by the robust subgenital plate.
