Lueheopsis schultesii Cuatrecasas (1951: 49) .

Lectotype (designated here):— COLOMBIA. Amazonas: Igara Paraná River, La Chorrera , 4-10 June 1942, Schultes 3925 ( GH! [ GH00052370 ] ; isolectotypes GH! [ GH00247248 ] ; K! [ K000381802 ] ; US! [ US00098641 ] ).

Cuatrecasas (1951) cited the specimen Schultes 3925 in F as the type of Lueheopsis schultesii . Analysing the original collection in F herbarium we could not find the specimen of Schultes with number 3925, but two other specimens with number 3972. These, despite having the same locality as the protologue, the information about the plant is different. However, we found four duplicates of Schultes 3925 in the herbaria GH, K, and US, that have the original printed label with the locality data and the plant information cited in the protologue. Therefore, in accordance with the Arts. 9.3 and 9.4 of the ICN, we designate here the specimen GH [GH00052370] as a lectotype of L. schultesii .
