Description of Parasegetibacter luojiensis BT View in CoL 243

Gram-stain-negative, aerobic, non-flagellated, short rod-shaped bacterium (0.6-0.8 μm wide, 0.7-1.3 μm long). Colonies grown on R2 A are yellow, circular, convex, and smooth. Oxidase   GoogleMaps activity is positive. In the API 20NE test, cells are positive for nitrate reduction; hydrolysis of aesculin and gelatin; and β -galactosidase activity, but negative for indole production; glucose fermentation; activity of arginine dihydrolase and urease; and assimilation of D- glucose, L- arabinose, D- mannose, D- mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D- maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid. Strain BT243 (= NIBRBAC000502993) was isolated from a soil sample collected from Uijeongbu, Republic of Korea (37°44 ʹ 34.9 ʺ N, 127°06 ʹ 04.4 ʺ E).
