Collection and Habitat data. The specimens were found in old river drift, in leaf litter, in grass sod, in oak, birch and huckleberry litter along a bog margin, and in rotten wood. Collected primarily by using a Berlese for sifted litter and sod samples from May–June and September. In Canada found in a wide variety of open, agricultural, and forested habitats, and taken by sifting various litters and mosses and by pitfall traps. Occasionally taken by sweeping grasses ( Klimaszewski et al. 2018).
