Distribution. Nearctic, eastern species. Canada: NB, NS, QC. USA: MD, ME, MA, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VA, VT (NSR), WI, WV.

Collection and Habitat data. In NH collected from April to September by sifting leaf litter and rotten wood in several forest types, sifting grass litter, and taken from leaf litter by a spring; a few specimens were taken by flight intercept and Malaise traps. Elsewhere taken by Lindgren funnel and pitfall traps and leaf litters of coniferous forests and swamps, found on gilled mushrooms in hardwood forests, and found in litter near small shaded streams in mixed forests. In the southern portion of its range (VA, WV) this species occurs in forest litter in conifer or mixed forests with red spruce ( Picea rubens ) and/or fir ( Abies ); elsewhere from forest litter in various mixed forests and reported from under bark of oak and birch stumps, and along rocky streams ( Klimaszewski et al. 2018).
