Distribution. Nearctic. Canada: BC, MB, NB, NS, ON, QC, YT. USA: NH (NSR), OH, WI.
Collection and Habitat data. The NH specimens were most commonly captured in an old-growth silver maple floodplain forest in leaf litter along a stream and in old river drift, and at a UV light trap there. Also taken in oak litter, a sod sample, and by a pitfall trap in the Merrimack River floodplain. Collected from April to November. In Canada usually found in riparian habitats or near lakeshores where it can be common; among gravel on gravel bars along shaded brooks in northern hardwood forest, in a balsam poplar forest near a river, in moss near splash zone of waterfalls, in moss on rocks at middle of river, silver maple swamp near lake, in moist leaves on vernal pond margins, in drift material (maple seeds and other kinds of plant debris) on lake and river margins; also collected from pitfall traps in a red spruce regenerating forest, and by flight intercept traps in a maple beech forest; one flying individual collected in late afternoon near mixed forest in early April ( Klimaszewski et al. 2018).
