Distribution. Holarctic, reported from A/S ( Klimaszewski et al. 2021). Canada:AB, BC, LB, MB, NB, NF, NS, ON, SK, YT. USA: AK, NH (NSR).
Collection and Habitat data. One NH male was captured in a FIT in a boreal forest near the Quebec border. In Canada found in decaying organic material (compost, rotting mushrooms, dung) and litter in forests and open habitats; in NF specimens were taken from pitfall carrion-baited and flight intercept traps in various mixed and coniferous forests; in NB taken by unbaited pitfall traps in a red spruce forest, and a few flying adults were collected in late afternoon in a mixed forest opening ( Klimaszewski et al. 2021). In BC specimens were found in moss along seepage, in gravel along edge of stream, in moss under deciduous shrubs around base of cedar, and in mushrooms, moss, and compost (Klimaszeski et al. 2020, 2021). In AK found at the forest edge, in Populus tremuloides litter and grass, and in mesic Betula litter ( Klimaszewski et al. 2021).
