Distribution. Nearctic. Canada: NB, NS, ON, PE, QC. USA: GA, NH, NY.
Collection and Habitat data. The NH specimens were captured in Russula mushrooms, a mass of mushrooms on a large stump, and rotten wood; most commonly taken by flight intercept and Malaise traps. Collected from June to September in NH. In Canada collected in a variety of hardwood and coniferous forests (Klimaszewski et al. 2003, 2018). Adults usually taken in various kinds of decaying mushrooms, and are most commonly found in late summer; in decaying polypore mushroom on sugar maple, in decaying mushrooms on forest floors, in fleshy mushrooms of various stages of decay, in rotting fleshy fungi, in mushrooms including Russula sp. , a few were captured by Lindgren funnel traps (Klimaszewski et al. 2003, 2018).
