Distribution. Nearctic. Canada: MB, NB, ON. USA: DC, IL, IN, KS, MI, NC, NH (NSR), NY, PA, VA, WV.

Collection and Habitat data. The NH specimens were found on the side of a water tower, and in forests where they were taken by FITs. Collected from October to November. In Canada found in mixed and hardwood forests, often red oak forests; also found in a spruce forest. Adults on/in fresh gilled mushrooms on forest floor, with a few found in decaying fleshy mushrooms ( Klimaszewski et al. 2009c, 2018).
