Holotype ♂ Label data: Holotype Bathypogon bidentatus Hull // Bowen / Queensland / A. Simson. [Aquisition No.: SAMA Database No 29-001176]
Condition: Poor. Head: head has been glued back onto thorax with balsam; postpedicel of both antennae missing; right eye eaten out; left palps missing; right palps encased in balsam. Thorax: hole in dorsum of thorax. Wings: tip of wings frayed. Legs: Left fore leg lacks apical tarsal segment & claws; left mid & hind legs missing; fore & hind legs only represented by coxae, trochanter & femur. Abdomen: abdomen at base glued to thorax with balsam. Genitalia: intact
