Isolectotype:—[ Greece] Kreta. Distrikt Distr. Hierapetra. Aph. Kavutsi: 2 August 1904, I . Dörfler 1056 ( WU 0099196 ) .

Rechinger´s gathering 13231 (W) was designated as the neotype of H. doerfleri by Galbany-Casals et al. (2006: 494) as the original specimen (Dörfler 1056) was not found at W or WU. However, the material was later rediscovered and lectotypified from Dörfler’s private herbarium now at B, see Vogt et al. (2018: 81).
