Syntype:—[ Greece] Attica: in lapidosis Karyá m. Hymetti, alt. 2000’: 16 May 1894, T. H. H . von Heldreich 1215 ( WU 0073385 ) .
The name Silene megalosperma Sartori appears in printed labels of Heldreich´s Herbarium Graecum normale. The name is validated by the synonymy.
