Erect or ascending, densely and spreadingly branched, to 18 cm tall. Shoots homophyllous, 15–20 mm in diam. incl. leaves. Stems excl. leaves 1.5–2 mm thick at the base. Leaves borne in alternating, irregular whorls of 3–4, these 1.5–2 mm apart, patent-spreading to ascending, straight to slightly recurved, not twisted at the base, linear-lanceolate, widest at or above the middle, with a narrowed petiole-like lamina base, with short-acute to obtuse apex, 7–11 × 1–1.2 (–1.5) mm, subcoriaceous, abaxially with prominent, decurrent vein, adaxially flat or slightly convex, with revolute, smooth margins. Leaf bases, especially in basal divisions with widening and prominently decurrent margins and vein. Sporangia ca. 2 mm wide.
Distribution:— Guatemala to Panamá.
Habitats:—Epiphytic, 1000–1500 m elev.
