Type Locality: Site 1, Ambatovaky Special Reserve, NE Madagascar, in primary rainforest, between 600-750 m, 16°51'S, 49°08'E. GoogleMaps

Vernacular Names: Dryad Shrew Tenrec.

Distribution: Known only from the type locality and from an owl pellet collected at Réserve Spéciale d’Anjanharibe-Sud, NE Madagascar.

Conservation: IUCN – Critically Endangered.
