Comments: As with M. kinabalu , this species lacks an anal gland pore, has distinct eyes and a concave posterior gonostome, and it usually places inside Leptopsalis in morphometric phylogenies. However, given its location in the far northeastern end of Borneo, it is most likely in Miopsalis , which is supported by such features as extensive granulation on a claw-like second cheliceral article, broad meeting of second and fourth coxae, and a flattened lateral profile.
