Description. Body length: 17.6–17.9 mm.

Male measurements (mean, n = 2): HW: 3.42; HL: 3.41; CL: 1.05; PO: 1.56; PW: 3.41; PL: 3.35; EW: 4.41; EL: 4.12; ELS: 2.45.

Female measurements (n = 1): HW: 3.78; HL: 3.71; CL: 1.21; PO: 1.68; PW: 3.51; PL: 3.56; EW: 4.86; EL: 4.91; ELS: 2.59.

Male. Body robust, parallel-sided, black, almost dull, elytra with orange pubescence, mouthparts and tarsi brown.

Head ( Fig. 4D View FIGURES 4 ) nearly trapezoid, slightly wider than long, and distinctly widened backward, as broad as pronotum, sides almost straight; eyes small, oval, moderately protruding from lateral outline of head, longitudinal diameter somewhat shorter than postocular area; base distinctly, deeply and broadly emarginate, posterior angles obviously protruding backward with apices rounded; surface densely covered with coarse and rugose punctures, with short yellow pubescence. Antennae ( Fig. 4A View FIGURES 4 ) short and stout, hardly reaching midlength of pronotum, moderately thickened, last segment distinctly longer than wide, almost oval-shaped, moderately thickened apicad; ratios of antennomere length (1 to 11) as follows: 23:16:14:15:16:15:15:13:16:14:28.

Pronotum nearly horseshoe-shaped and convex, wider than long, widest at about anterior two-fifths, anterior margin obliquely emarginate on each side; sides narrowed posteriorly before widest part, gently rounded and narrowed at anterior four-fifths, gradually retracted posteriorly; anterior angles pointed, posterior angles widely rounded; surface densely covered with rugose punctures, coarser than that on head, with shiny impunctate midline, becoming indistinct and almost obsolete at about midlength; pubescence similar to that on head. Scutellum triangular, densely covered with black and orange velvety pubescence.

Elytra subquadrate, a little dilated posteriad, wider than long, longer and distinctly wider than pronotum; sides straight, posterior margin markedly emarginate medially; surface covered with dense, coarse umbilicate punctures, with orange pubescence.

Abdomen elongate and gradually narrowed posteriad; surface finely and densely punctate, covered with black pubescence in middle, 3–5 th tergites with patches of yellow pubescence laterally, patches gradually decreasing in size towards apex, 7 th tergite also with transverse belt of golden pubescence near anterior margin; posterior margin of 8 th sternite ( Fig. 4B View FIGURES 4 ) triangularly excised medially, each side with two long setae, 10 th tergite ( Fig. 4C View FIGURES 4 ) narrowly triangular, apical half with numerous long setae along margin; apex of 9 th sternite ( Fig. 4F View FIGURES 4 ) slightly emarginate medially, apical margin bearing long setae.

Legs robust, with dense golden yellow pubescence, protarsus strongly dilated, with brownish yellow pubescence.

Aedeagus ( Figs. 4H–K View FIGURES 4 ) almost symmetrical; median lobe elongate and middle portion weakly sclerotized, with basal part large and globular, in ventral view median lobe distinctly narrowed at midlength, and widened before rounded apical margin, apex almost as wide as basal part; in lateral view slightly curved ventrad in profile; paramere ( Fig. 4H View FIGURES 4 ) degenerate, very fine and slender, with two pairs of short setae medioapically.

Female. First four protarsal segments similar to those of male. Second gonocoxite ( Fig. 4G View FIGURES 4 ) with minute stylus bearing two equally long apical setae, basal half of second gonocoxite with long dark setae. 10 th tergite ( Fig. 4E View FIGURES 4 ) triangular, narrower than that of male, triangular apex with numerous equally long setae on surface and along margin of apical half.

Distribution. Myanmar; China (Jiangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan).

Notes. In general appearance, this species is similar to Naddia chinensis Bernhauer, 1929 , but differs from it by the larger posterior portion of head and more slender shape of body.
