Hosts. Poaceae : Dichanthelium acuminatum (Sw.) Gould & C.A. Clark , D. clandestinum (L.) Gould, D. * malacophyllum (Nash) Gould , D. scoparium (Lam.) Gould ( Eiseman & Lonsdale 2018) .
Leaf mine. See Eiseman & Lonsdale (2018).
Puparium. Yellow-orange to reddish-brown; formed outside the mine.
Distribution. USA: AR, GA, MA, MN, NC, OH, * OK.
Comments. Although this is the Agromyza species we have most commonly reared from Dichanthelium , three others are now known from this host, all forming seemingly indistinguishable leaf mines: A. indistincta Eiseman, Lonsdale & Feldman , A. parca Spencer , and A. proxima Spencer ( Eiseman & Lonsdale 2018; Eiseman et al. 2019; Scheffer & Lonsdale 2018).
