Diagnosis (after Faubel 1983): Callioplanidae with tentacular, cerebral and marginal eye-spots. Tentacles reduced to knobs may be present. Pharynx extends anterior to the centre. Male copulatory apparatus with seminal vesicle and penis armed with an elongated tubular stylet. Lang’s vesicle present.
