Figures 12 View FIGURE 12 , 36 View FIGURE 36
Description. Female. Body length 2.2 mm, fore wing length 2.5 mm.
Head. Transverse in dorsal view, 2× as wide as long and a little narrower than mesoscutum (19.5:22.0). Temple relatively shiny, shallowly punctate, slightly constricted. Face dull, pubescent, inner margin of eyes converged below, transverse, nearly 0.7× as high as wide. Ocelli small, distance between fore and a hind ocellus longer than diameter of an ocellus, posterior imaginary tangent to fore ocellus virtually touching hind two ocelli, POL:OD:OOL=3.0:1.5:3.5. Antenna slightly shorter than body, penultimate antennomere subcubic.
Mesosoma. Length:breadth:height=32.5:22.0:23.0. Disc of mesonotum dull, coarsely punctate, interspaces smaller than diameter of punctures, especially along imaginary course of the notaulices. Scutellar sulcus straight, narrow, very shallow with carinae in between. Scutellum shiny, with sparse punctures all over. Propodeum shiny, mostly polished, except a few sparse punctures anterior-laterally, areola U-shaped. Mesopleuron highly polished, with shallow punctures anteriorly.
Legs. Spines on outer side of hind tibia sparse. Inner spur of hind tibia 1/3 length of hind basitarsus, outer spur slightly shorter. Basitarsus of hind leg a little shorter than tarsomeres 2–4 combined (14.0:16.0).
Wings. Pterostigma 2.9× as long as its widest part. Vein 1-R1 (metacarp) 1.3× longer than pterostigma, almost closing the marginal cell. Vein r arising from middle of pterostigma, a little longer than width of pterostigma, vein r 1.5× longer than vein 2-SR, distinctly angled at their meeting, vein 2-M length half of vein 2-SR. 1 st discal cell almost 1.2× wider than high. 1 st submarginal cell of hind wing indistinct. Vein cu-a nearly straight.
Metasoma. Distinctly longer than thorax (41.5:32.5). T1 abruptly constricted from middle, 1.3× longer than wide posteriorly, indistinctly concave at basal 2/5, turned-over part relatively shiny, weakly densely rugulose, hind tubercle polished. T2 strongly curved into T3, 3.4× wider than long in middle, strongly shorter and weakly wrinkled laterally. T3 1.4× longer than T2. Tergites after T2 shiny, polished, sparsely pubescent. Hypopygium not longer than apex of abdomen. Ovipositor sheath at least 1.8× longer than hind tibia, extremely narrow with long and dense hairs wholly.
Colour. Body black, except metasoma brown to black and tergites posterior to T2 with yellow hind. Tegula yellow. Spurs and palpi pale yellow. Labrum and mandible reddish yellow. Antenna and ovipositor sheath evenly brown. Legs yellow to yellowish brown (hind femur brown). Wing membrane hyaline, vein 1-R1, C+SC+ R and upper border of pterostigma brown, other veins colourless, pterostigma pale to white.
Variation. T1–2 of some specimens strongly rugose and ovipositor sheath much longer (at least 2.5× longer than hind tibia).

Distribution. China (Fujian, Guangdong, Guizhou, Yunnan).
Etymology. The specific name “ funalicauda ” derived from the Latin adjective “funalis” and “caudatus”, referring to ovipositor sheath funiform.
Remarks. This species is similar to D. decorus (Haliday) but differs from the latter by the following: ovipositor sheath longer than narrower than the latter; distance between fore and a hind ocellus longer than diameter of an ocellus (the latter large, and distance shorter than diameter of an ocellus); and pterostigma small, nearly 3.0× longer than wide.
