Liolaemus sp1

This population is distributed in the province of Aroma, Huaraco, Bolivia. This population has been defined as a member of the L. alticolor - bibronii group (following the diagnosis of Quinteros 2012) because of the color pattern and character states of its lepidosis. It is confused with Liolaemus alticolor , but exhibits character states that distinguish it from this and all other species member of the L. alticolor-bibronii group. It has 39–45 (X=40.8; SD= 2.87) scales around midbody; 38–42 (X= 40.5; SD= 1.73) scales between occiput and hindlimbs; 63–69 (X= 65.7; SD= 3.05) ventral scales; 10–12 (X= 11; SD= 1.41) scales in dorsum of head (Hellmich’s Index); 5–6 (X= 5.5; SD= 0.71) superciliaries; 6 scales surrounding nasal scale; nasal scale always in contact with rostral, but separated from canthal by one scale; 6–8 (X= 6.75; SD= 0.96) laminar and weakly keeled temporals; auricular scale evident; 32–33 (X= 32.5; SD= 0.71) laminar and weakly keeled neck scales; 4–7 (X= 6; SD= 1.41) losilabials; subocular scale whitish; 6–7 (X= 6.5; SD= 0.56) supralabials and 4 infralabials; fourth supralabial upturned and in contact with subocular in all specimens studied; 2–3 (X= 2.5; SD= 0.71) precloacal pores in males, absent in females. Max–SVL= 49.1 (X= 43.98; SD= 4.44); head length (X= 9.54; SD= 0.81); head width (X= 6.92; SD= 0.79); trunk length (X= 21.15; SD= 2.69); humerus length (X= 4.5; SD= 0.54); tibia length (X= 5.4; SD= 0.72). Color pattern: dorsolateral stripes and vertebral line in dorsum of body and tail evident. Paravertebral spots absent. Lateral region spotless, light brown.

Ventrolateral region gray, with some speckled spots. Throat of females cream color, with black lines. In males, throat lead gray. Chest and belly gray without spots. Ventral region of tail speckled.
