Spartacus View in CoL : Carvalho 1945C:30 (diagnosis, distribution); Carvalho 1957:127 (catalog); Schuh 2002 –2013 (on-line catalog); Ferreira & Henry 2011: 27 (diagnosis, distribution, key to Minas Gerais spp); Henry & Howard 2016: 533 (revision of genus, descriptions of new species, keys to complex Sinervus View in CoL , Spartacus View in CoL , and Sinervaspartus ).

Diagnosis. Elongate species. Head short and broad, with weakly stalked eyes; antennal segment I less than the width of the vertex; and the labium reaching the middle coxae. Pronotum long and constricted near the middle, with a swollen pronotum disc. Hemelytron with a narrow cuneus extending to the tip of the membrane; hemelytra and femora pilose.
