Florus insolitus Distant 1884:301 View in CoL (original description); Akingbohungbe 1979:517 Schuh 2002 –2013 (online catalog).

Diagnosis. Pronotum mostly dark, with a pale patch around the posterior margin. Scutellum usually brownish or black. Corium with a continuous transverse fascia ( Schaffner & Carvalho 1985).

Plant Associations. Unknown.

Distribution. Panama; Brazil (Espírito Santo *: Domingos Martins, Venda Nova do Imigrante).

Remarks. Male genitalia not dissected to preserve the only specimen.
