Type Locality: Australia, Northern Territory, Port Essington.
Vernacular Names: Little Broad-nosed Bat.
Synonyms: Scotorepens aqeilo Troughton 1937 ; Scotorepens caprenus Troughton 1937 .
Distribution: Western Australia (excluding the south), Northern Territory, South Australia, New South Wales, and Queensland ( Australia). Records from Victoria refer to balstoni .
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc) as Nycticeius greyii .
Discussion: Reviewed by Kitchener and Caputi (1985).
