DISTRIBUTION. — Wide, neotropical.

NOTE

Milward-de-Azevedo et al. (2012) recognized P. cryptopetala Hoehne as a synonym of P. auriculata , whereas Feuillet & MacDougal (2008) considered it a distinct species.
