Type locality: [ND] near Whangarei Harbour.
Broun number: 1154.
Notes: Broun based this species on a single specimen that we found in the BMNH Broun Collection and is confirmed to be the holotype. The original identification label was written as Byraxis , but the original combination was published under Bryaxis .
