( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 9 – 13 )
Material examined. Type. Holotype Ƥ, USA: New Mexico, Eddy Co., 32°21.4’N 103°46.9’W (Campsite), 15.VII.1979, taken in Malaise trap, Waste isolation pilot plant (WIPP), D.R. Delorme & C.P. McHugh leg. (DETAM; however, it will be deposited in USNM).
Diagnosis. Female of Dryinus with head black, except mandible, clypeus, gena and anterior region of face testaceous-reddish; occipital carina complete; prothorax testaceous-reddish; scutum granulated and rugose; notauli incomplete; segment 1 of protarsus less than twice as long as segment 4; enlarged claw spatulate and with only one subapical tooth; segment 5 of protarsus provided of three short rows of lamellae.
Description. Female: fully winged; length 2.9 mm. Head black, except mandible, clypeus, gena, anterior region of face between antennal toruli and part of ventral side testaceous-reddish; antenna testaceous; mesosoma black, except prothorax testaceous-reddish; metasoma brown-testaceous; legs testaceous. Antenna clavate; antennal segments in following proportions: 6:5:15:9:8:6:5.5:5:4:8; rhinaria present in segments 5-10. Head shiny, granulated and with irregular keels; frontal line incomplete, not present in anterior half of face; occipital carina complete; posterior ocelli touching occipital carina; POL = 5; OL = 3; OOL = 7; TL = 3; greatest breadth of posterior ocelli shorter than POL (2:5); occiput excavated; posterior ocelli located in front of the imaginary straight line joining the posterior edges of the eyes. Pronotum shiny, smooth, unsculptured, crossed by only one posterior transverse impression; disc weakly humped; posterior collar very short; pronotal tubercle not reaching tegula. Scutum dull, granulated, rugose on lateral regions and in posterior third of median region. Notauli incomplete, reaching about 0.75 length of scutum. Scutellum shiny, unsculptured. Metanotum dull, granulated. Propodeum reticulate rugose, without transverse or longitudinal keels. Forewing with two dark transverse bands; distal part of stigmal vein longer than proximal part (8:5). Segment 3 of protarsus produced into hook. Protarsal segments in following proportions: 13:3:3:9:15. Enlarged claw spatulate ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 9 – 13 ), with one strong subapical tooth and one row of 8 lamellae. Segment 5 of protarsus ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 9 – 13 ) with three short rows of approximately 42 lamellae extended without interruption to the distal apex (one medial row if composed of seven very long lamellae). Tibial spurs 1/1/ 2.
