Xiphoceriana Dirsh, 1958 View in CoL

According to Dirsh (1958) the main differences of the genus Xiphoceriana from Lobosceliana are the single-segmented medial part of antenna, the strongly toothed and slightly incurved upper margin of the hind femur and the projecting posterior margin of the epiphallus. However, the medial part of the antenna in some specimens may be divided in two and the slightly incurved upper margin of hind femora may be present in some specimens of Lobosceliana . Overall, as will be discussed below, it is difficult to separate Xiphoceriana from Lobosceliana for certain, and they may be synonyms.
