Material examined. 1 larva, Brazil, AM, Manaus, Reserva Duke, 12.vi.2002 (E2-48, LEIA-UFSCar).

Diagnostic characters. Head yellowish with mandibular tips and mentum dark brown. Antenna 5-segmented, basal segment 29 µm long. AR 0.91; antennal blade slightly shorter than antennal flagelum ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 h). Dorsal sclerites of head as in figure 20f, clypeus 61 µm long. Pecten epipharyngis formed by toothed plates ( Fig. 21 View FIGURE 21 g). Mandible 123 µm long, with short dorsal tooth, apical and two inner teeth dark brown; seta subdentalis slender, 23 µm long ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 j). Mentum 112 µm wide, with ten dark teeth; median teeth shorter and fused to first laterals; outer lateral teeth larger and separate from others ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 k). Ventral plate 84 µm long, with weak striations; distance between ventromental plates 38 µm.
