Remarks: Recently, Karaman G.S. (2017a) has redescribed this species, using the original material and additional specimens from the central and western part of Greece. According to the author, N. graecus and N. aitolosi have morphological similarities, sharing the same locality at the lower part of Acheloos system, including the lakes of Lysimachia and Trichonida. Molecular analysis of N. graecus from all known localities is therefore required to solve the taxonomis status of different populations.
Etymology: Species epithet is derived from the country of origin, Greece.
