Tribe Merocorini

Merocorini is comprised only by the genus Merocoris Perty , which is divided into two well-defined subgenera: Corynocoris Mayr and Merocoris Perty. The former is distributed from Central to North America and the latter in South America. With the first record shown here of Corynocoris , Colombia is currently the only country where both subgenera occur, each represented by one specie.
