Distribution. China (Sichuan, Hubei, Shaanxi).
Remarks. The species belongs to Dianous chinensis complex. It is similar to D. bashanensis Zheng, 1994 and D. gonggamontis Puthz, 2000 both from Sichuan, but can be distinguished from them by smaller and denser punctation of head, pronotum lacking pubescence and longer longitudinally rugae around the elytral marks, from D. gonggamontis also by weaker blue shimmer of entire body. The species is new to Sichuan.
