Genus Liphistius Schiodte, 1849

Type species.

Liphistius desultor Schiødte, 1849.

Diagnosis.

Liphistius differs from the other seven liphistiid genera by the presence of signal lines radiating from the burrow’s entrance (Fig. 1B, C ), by the male palp having a tibial apophysis (Figs 3A , 4A , 5A ), and by the female genitalia having a sclerotized poreplate and a median receptacular cluster (Figs 3H-I , 4H-M , 5H-J ).

Distribution.

China (Yunnan Province), Indonesia (Sumatra), Laos, Peninsular Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand.
