Lectotype (Hanelt & al. in Taxon 32: 496, f. 2. 1983): Herb. Clifford: 24, Triticum 2 (BM-000557669) .

Current name: Triticum aestivum L. ( Poaceae ).

Note: Triticum hybernum is rejected in favour of T. aestivum L. (1753) . Although the types of both names are listed in their Vienna Code entries (2006: 464), neither type is conserved.
