Type Locality: Italy, Sardinia.
Vernacular Names: Sardinian Pika.
Distribution: Mediterranean Isles of Corsica ( France) and Sardinia ( Italy); adjacent small islands.
Conservation: IUCN – Extinct.
Discussion: Described from fossils, but apparently survived until historic times ( Vigne, 1983), perhaps as late as 1774 (Kurtén, 1968). Reviewed by Dawson (1969).
