D e s c r i p t i o n (afterPFANKUCH 1912 and KUSLITZKY 2007): ♀. Length 9-12 mm. Flagellum with 42-46 flagellomeres, bristle-shaped. Head and mesosoma with long setae. Temple strongly narrowed behind eye. Minimal facial width slightly more than eye length. MI 1.0. Mesoscutum densely punctate, smooth and shining between punctures. Propodeum rugose-punctate; spiracle slit-shaped. Hind claws long and slender, not pectinate. Areolet stalked frontally; ramellus long; Vein 1cu-a postfurcal. Metasoma smooth and shining. 1 st tergite granulate, with sparse punctures, c. 2× as long as wide. 2 nd tergite about square. Ovipositor sheath 0.6× as long as hind tibia.
Color: black. Setae of head and mesosoma pale brown. Distal flagellomeres reddish ventrally. Sometimes collar, anterolateral spot of mesoscutum and scutellum apically yellow. All tergites black, with wide apical yellowish bands. Legs black; femora reddish apically; tibiae and tarsi yellowish, hind tibia infuscate apically; hind tarsomeres with brownish tips.
♁. Length 10-12 mm. Flagellum with 44-48 flagellomeres. Color as described for the ♀.
