This species is similar to S. ocelliferus ( Canepari, 1997) in structures of the penis, but can be distinguished from the later by the entire yellow pronotum and parameres about 1/3 as long as penis guide (Figs 16a–c, 16g). In S. ocelliferus , pronotum is black with lateral and anterior margin yellow, parameres are about 3/5 as long as penis guide ( Figs 17a–c, 17g View FIGURE 17 ).

Body oval, moderately convex, surfaces covered with short pubescence (Figs 16a–c). Head yellow with interocular distance distinctly greater than eye width in frontal view. Pronotum and scutellar yellow. Elytra black with yellow apices, sometimes with two yellow spots on medially. Ventral surfaces yellow to black. Legs yellow. Penis guide with prominent keel at base in lateral view, then tapering towards pointed apex; parameres about 1/3 as long as penis guide, with a tuft of long setae at apex; penis guide stout in ventral view, widest at basal 1/3, then gradually narrowing to apex (Figs 16g –h).
Female genitalia: Coxites elongate, triangular; styli well developed with terminal setae; spermatheca distinctly curved, with basal ramus and elongate nodulus.
