Extended description. Body pear-shaped, vaulted, glabrous, dull. Coloration black. Elytra yellow with four transverse black bands, first three bands connected with lateral and sutural black margins, the fourth band connected only with lateral black margin. Anterior margin of the first band slightly extended in the middle. All elytral margins with thin black margin, almost indistinct at elytral apex and in scutellar area. Epipleura black.

Measurements. Males: 6.35–8.00 mm; females: 7.20–8.60 mm.

Male ( Fig. 4). Labrum transverse, trapeziform, covered with pale setae, anterior margin slightly concave, lustrous. Anterior part of head and narrow stripe around each eye semi opaque, covered with very fine microsculpture and sparsely with pale setae (at lateral sides). Antennal insertions separated from front by slightly elevated nasal keel, from behind by furrow separating also frontal tubercles. Interantennal space 0.58– 0.75 times as wide as transverse diameter of antennal insertion. Space between eye and outer margin of antennal insertion deeply impressed. Frontal tubercles large, dull, covered with microsculpture, slightly elevated, subtriangular, with posterior tips widely rounded. Both tubercles separated from each other by deep furrow, outer margin of frontal tubercles impressed, margins of posterior tips less deeply impressed. Frons between posterior tips of frontal tubercles distinctly triangularly impressed. Vertex dull, covered with microsculpture. Antennae short, 0.65 times as long as body, antennomeres relatively robust, almost parallel, with base abruptly narrowed, length ratio of antennomeres 1 to 11 equal to 31-12-15-14 - 14-13-14-12 -12-12- 17.

Pronotum glabrous, dull, covered with microsculpture and with sparse fine puncures almost indistinct on disc and well visible on lateral sides of pronotum; subcordiform, 1.8 times as broad as long, widest at anterior third. Disc with two small shallow depressions laterally. Anterior margin deeply concave, very finely bordered, posterior margin nearly straight, indistinctly bordered in middle, lateral sides of posterior margin unbordered, lateral margins sinuate, rounded anteriad and almost parallel posteriad, thinly bordered (more distinctly anteriad, almost disappeared posterad). Anterior angles strongly produced to distinct bulb and bearing setigerous pore, posterior angles rectangular with tips moderately rounded.

Scutellum widely triangular with apex moderately rounded, glabrous, dull, impunctate, covered with microsculpture. Lateral sides finely but distinctly bordered, borders disappear before apex.

Elytra regularly convex, 1.10–1.15 times as long as wide and 0.70 times as long as body; lateral margins rounded, with maximal width behind middle. Apical angles obtuse, widely rounded. Humeral calli not developed. Lateral sides deeply impressed along epipleural ridge. Elytral surface glabrous, dull, covered with microsculpture and dense fine confused punctures, more distinct at lateral impressed line, more shallow and with tendency to disappear at elytral apex. Epipleura wide, narrowed at first quarter, then gradually tapering, disappearing at apex. Hind wings not developed.

Legs relatively short, adequately robust. First tarsomeres of pro- and mesotarsi moderately enlarged. Basimetatarsomere short, 0.85 times as long as following two tarsomeres combined. Claws simple with small basal tooth.

Ventral surface semiopaque, covered with microsculpture, ventrites covered also with fine punctures better visible in posterior parts of ventrites. Pro-, meso- and metasternum almost glabrous, abdomen sparsely covered with fine pale setae. Posterior margin of procoxal cavities semi open, prosternal process wide, well visible between coxae, with distinct lateral rigdes. Metasternum very short, the distance between mesocoxal and metacoxal cavities much narrower than diameter of mesocoxal cavity. Posterior margin of last ventrite almost entire, in middle with slight swelling, surface around this swelling shallowly impressed.

Aedeagus and tegmen as in Figs 1–2 View FIGURES 1 – 3 .

Sexual dimorphism. Female. Antennae 0.5 times as long as the body. First tarsomeres of pro- and mesotarsi distinctly more slender. Last ventrite entire, without swelling and impression in the middle of posterior margin. Spermatheca as in Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 3 .

Variability. The colour of elytra seems to be fairly stable. However, one specimen has the fourth black band isolated, not connected with sutural black margin nor with the lateral black margin. In another one specimen the fourth black band is missing.

Collection circumstances. Most of specimens were found creeping or sitting on the path. The habitat (Maoniuping (Yak meadows), 27°09.9´N 100°14.5´E) is presented in Figs 5–6 View FIGURES 5 – 6 .
