Ventriappendix divaricata Ding, Yu & Yang sp. nov.

Description. Length. Male 3.6 mm.
Whole body yellow (Figs 1–4). Eyes greyish-black (Figs 1–4). Legs yellowish (Figs 2, 3, 4). Forewing narrow, yellow from the base to 2/3 of the wing, veins yellow to yellowish brown, hindwing transparent (Figs 5, 6). The median length of the vertex is approximately equal to the width between the eyes (Figs 1, 4). Face slightly convex in profile (Figs 2, 3).
Male ventral abdominal apodemes reaching the of segment 4 ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 7–17 ). Male pygofer with ventral pygofer appendage slender, tapered, extending dorsad to midheight of pygofer lobe ( Figs 11, 12 View FIGURES 7–17 ). Subgenital plate with 3 A-group macrosetae, 13 B-group setae laterally, 16 C-group macrosetae and 2–3 rows D-group setae ( Figs 8, 9, 13 View FIGURES 7–17 ). Paramere slightly curved, with few tiny teeth and 9–11 fine setae ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 7–17 ). Aedeagus shaft with two tapered lateral preapical processes extended posterolaterad in different directions ( Figs 16, 17 View FIGURES 7–17 ). Anal tube processes short, extended mesad and tapered but not crossing midline ( Figs 10, 15 View FIGURES 7–17 ).
Material examined. Holotype ♂, Daming Mountain , Guangxi, China, 19 August 2012, coll. Xiao-Fei Yu & Rong Huang. Paratype 1♂, Baishanzu , Qingyuan, Zhejiang, China, 30 June 2013, coll. Bin Li & Bin Yan.
Etymology. The new species name refers to the divergent processes of the aedeagus.
Distribution. China (Guangxi, Zhejiang).
